The excitement is building with the upcoming opening of the Hard Rock Park, slated to be open for business in April 2008. The latest development is the theme park’s announcement that an indoor, or at least a slower riding, rollercoaster will be set to “Nights in White Satin,” the famous 1960’s hit by The Moody Blues. Band members were on hand for announcement, and noted that they plan on performing live at the park sometime next summer. Originally a seven-and-a-half minute tune, the band and park affiliates reworked the arrangement to run only four minutes, 45 seconds to last the proposed length of the ride. As noted in an earlier article, “Whole Lotta Love,” by Led Zeppelin, will play along the ride of the park’s largest rollercoaster. “Midnight Rider,” yet another rollercoaster, had its last section put into place this week, as well. Be sure to keep the park in mind when booking your 2008 Myrtle Beach vacation!
