Rental Policies
Rates are based on drivers being 25 years of age or older.
Drivers must present a valid drivers license and credit card in their own name at time of rental
Drivers under the age of 25 (but over 21) can rent from U-SAVE with a $10.00 / day surcharge
Rates include unlimited mileage in South and North Carolina
Renters are responsible for taxes, fees and any options they elect at time of rental(unless you specify different)
U-SAVE accepts VISA, MC, AMEX, Discover, Cash or Travelers Checks as a form of payment
No one-way rentals - vehicles must be returned to one of our Myrtle Beach area locations.
Taxes & Fees
Airport Rentals are subject to the following taxes and fees
9% Sales tax
5% State Surcharge
2.5% Horry County Hospitality Fee
11.11% Airport Concession Fee
$4.00 / Day Surcharge (maximum Surcharge of $52.00)
.67 /Day Energy Recovery Fee
$2.95 / Day Roadside Assistance
Highway 501 Rentals are subject to the following taxes and fees
8% Sales tax
5% State Surcharge
.67 /Day Energy Recovery Fee
2.5% Horry County Hospitality Fee
Vehicle Information
All vehicles are Automatic Transmission and Air Conditioned.
Vehicles are rented with a full tank of gas and must be returned same or a fueling charge will apply
(exception: when Pre-paid fuel option is selected and paid before return)
Customer Options
In addition to the customer paying the rental taxes & fees at the time they pick up the vehicle
they will also pay U-SAVE directly for any optional features as follows:
$8.50 / day Additional Driver (no charge for spouse of primary renter)
$18.99 / day All Collision Damage Waiver on passengers cars
$22.99 / day All Collision Damage Waiver on specialty vehicles such as minivans, SUV's & 15-pass
$9.99 / day $500.00 Collision Damage Waiver
$15.99 / day $1000.00 Collision Damage Waiver
$8.95 / day Infant and Toddlers Seats
$7.99 /day GPS
$7.99 / day Portable DVD Player
Prepaid fuel - prices determined based on model of car being rented
Other options may be available at the time of rental
Procedures
U-SAVE Auto Rental operates a counter in the Myrtle Beach International Airport terminal
located behind baggage claim #1
open from 7:30 am till the last scheduled flight arrives
A key drop is located at the airport counter for early return
Please be aware that during the busy season, there may be a waiting list for customer pick ups to our local office.
