Located in the south end of the Grand Strand, Wedgefield Plantation’s fairways wind through magnolias, dogwoods and century-old oaks. The runs along the bank of the Black River of historic Georgetown on what was once a flourishing rice plantation.
The 14th hole is the signature hole of Wedgefield Plantation. Standing on the back tees, the golfer faces a generous landing area that rolls off to the right. From the forward tees, the golfer may carry the water to the left setting up a reasonable second shot. Or take a conservative lay up down the right side of the forward landing area.
