Many of the hotels and resorts in the Myrtle Beach area are actually what are known as condo hotels or condotels. A condotel is a condominium that is operated as a hotel with all the amenties typically offered by hotels such as housekeeping and front desk services, combined with the luxury and comfort of a condo unit such as furnished living room areas and kitchens.
These condotels should not be confused with timeshares. A condotel unit is booked by guests exactly the same way one would book a hotel room...only with a condo unit you get much more than just a bedroom, but a whole living space.
